At many bancomats in the city, you can get money with EC and credit cards. VISA, Mastercard and American Express are accepted nearly everywhere.

Shopping

In direct neighbourhood of the conference hotel, there is the Paunsdorf Center. There are shopping opportunities of all kinds. In the city centre, there are also a lot of shops. Most of them are open from 10 am to 8 pm, some even until 10 pm.

Restaurants and bars

Leipzig provides many restaurants and bars. In the city centre, the best streets are Barfußgässchen and Gottschedtstraße. In the district Südvorstadt, there are many bars, pubs and restaurants along Karl-Liebknecht-Straße.

Tipping

Generally said: It is possible to tip in restaurants and bars, but you do not have to. Common are between 5 and 10 % of the invoice. The amount of the tip depends of course also on the satisfaction of the guest.

Electricity

In Germany, the line voltage is 230 V, the cycle 50 HZ.
International adaptors can be found in the major electrical shops.

You can buy stamps in the post branch at Augustusplatz in the city centre. Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 8 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm.
